The teaching and prompting need to emphasize the fact that the men change places when they end their swing.
Men gypsying is always good for a laugh and likewise men swinging. I couyld not resist the idea of having the men do both!
The men are active all the time.
Thge notes in my database say that this dance was inspired by Gypsy Nights written by Alan Gdeance. However, since I can no longer find the dance on the internet, and Alan denies having written it, I have no way of knowing how close my dance is to whatever the original was.
Written on 2 May 2003 and first called at the 2003 Eastbourne International Folk Dance Festival.
